Dr. NT here. Drinking my coffee and responding to emails. My usual morning routine regardless if it is a weekday or weekend. Go thru all emails, comments, responding to each and every one.
For now I can still read each and every comment, email, question, post from this newsletter, or our sister Facebook group (3K members) and/or our YouTube channel (5K subscribers).
I recently was asked an excellent question by a subscriber that has followed me for quite some time. He has corresponded with me over 20 times and always asks intelligent probing questions that make me work! Lol
No easy questions from Jack (name changed to protect identity). Jack recently bought a NordickTrack exercise machine and asked: “Does iFit still redeem their 1-year iFit Coach Memberships?” Do they ask specific quotations like:
Where/when did you buy your exercise machine?
Do you still have a receipt?
Do you have proof the iFit code is for a year?
Keep reading to see my response. By the way, Jack. If you're reading this, thanks for the excellent question. My coffee may be cold and I have to reheat it, but excellent questions hopefully produce excellent answers. That was a promise I made over two years ago… try and help our community as best as I can. I am hoping the following answer does away with any trepidation anyone may have when considering purchasing an iFit 1-year Coach/Family Membership from me for a special subscriber price.
$125/1-yr iFit Coach/Family Membership
$225/2-yr iFit Coach/Family Membership
Ok, without any further ado… here is my response to “Jack.”
Great questions Jack. You are smart to ask what iFit may ask you when you try to redeem the 1-year iFit Coach Membership you are considering purchasing from me.
Here is the short answer… they can ask any question(s) they want. Your answer will always be the same...
...the iFit Family Membership I want to redeem was a gift from a friend.
Works every time; only if you consider Dr. NT a friend of yours. Heck, you better be my friend! Lol… I trust my friends, thus I send you the code on the honor system. No payment necessary until you have validated your iFit account has an extra one or two years added.
I have sold almost 40 of these codes and there was only one person that chatted with an iFit rep that asked some probing questions... even asked for an actual picture of the iFit card/code in its original packaging? 😵💫 I was dumbfounded!
I had to send her a different code, one that still had the original packaging. Funny thing is I reused that original code again in less than 15 minutes and sent it to another buyer. He had no problem redeeming it instantly. His iFit rep never asked for any proof of packaging. Go figure.
In summary, iFit may ask you some different questions, but when they check their database of iFit codes they will be able to verify the code is valid.
That is all they care about. I check every code literally minutes before I send them out to you. And most importantly, I do it on the honor system. I don't accept any payment until you, the buyer, logs into your iFit account and visually inspects the expiration date to verify the extra one or two years have been added. Out of the 40+ transactions, only three codes are still outstanding, and all the buyers have contacted me to say they will be redeeming the codes shortly. It feels good to have my trust rewarded.
When iFit made the decision to no longer redeem the 1-year Coach Memberships, they failed to realize they were invalidating the very products they once sold.
Bad PR.
They eventually reversed course and wisely chose to redeem the 1-year iFit Coach Memberships if a customer contacted them directly. Many buyers contacted me to relay that iFit told them when they invalidated all their 1-year iFit Coach Memberships, they did not take into account there were still many Coach Memberships that had not been redeemed. As a matter of fact NordicTrack and ProForm sold a lot of their older model exercise machines to resellers and included the 1-year iFit Coach Memberships to go along with the exercise machines.
The official company word is that if you contact iFit and give them the 1-year iFit Coach Membership code, they will redeem it for the full year.
There are two ways they are currently accomplishing this.
1. They redeem the full year directly to your iFit account.
2. They ask you to follow the instructions on the card and redeem the code online at their website. The website no longer accepts the cards/codes but gives you a complimentary 1-month of iFit. You then contact iFit, usually the rep you were chatting with, and they add the additional 11 months, making the total 12 months.
Whew...
Seems like a lot to redeem something they sold and/or included with their machines and has their iFit logo on it. Most buyers have come back and said they redeemed the codes instantly just by following my step-by-step instructions.
It really is an easy peasy process.
Let me know if your want one or two? I have about nine (9) more codes to sell and then I have another package of 50 unopened codes that I will start going thru. Dr. NT's work is never done.. lol
