Earlier this year, around the March/April timeframe, iFit changed their membership tiers. What used to be Individual or Family, is now Train or Pro.
What changed?
Individual iFit Memberships were for those that just needed one account to access the iFit library of trainer-led videos. It was inexpensive, and allowed you to access all of iFit’s extensive video library.
Family iFit Memberships supported five (5) accounts. One primary and four additional accounts. Each account had a separate login to track progress. Family iFit Memberships cost almost $400 a year, more if you paid monthly.
Now we have Train and Pro iFit Memberships.
Train membership: The iFIT Train membership is tailored for those who value flexibility in their fitness routine. Ideal for accessing iFIT’s extensive workout library on personal devices like smartphones and tablets, it’s designed for active individuals who workout in various locations beyond the traditional gym setting. Plus, Train members can enhance their workout experience by connecting their mobile or tablet device to a Bluetooth®-enabled NordicTrack, ProForm, or Freemotion machine.
Pro membership: The iFIT Pro membership is designed for fitness enthusiasts who have iFIT-enabled equipment with integrated screens, such as NordicTrack, ProForm, and Freemotion machines. This membership tier includes all the benefits of the Train membership, plus exclusive access to workouts designed specifically for your equipment.
In other words, if you have a NordicTrack, ProForm, or Freemotion exercise machine with a display that shows trainer-led videos, you will need the more expensive full-featured Pro iFit Membership.

THERE IS GOOD NEWS!

Are there any changes for existing users?
No price change for existing members: The introduction of new membership tiers will not impact the current pricing for existing members. Your subscription costs will remain unchanged as long as you continue to renew, ensuring your fitness journey with iFIT remains uninterrupted without financial interruption.
Plan name changes: While we are introducing new membership tiers, existing Family tier members will notice a change in the name of their plan. This change in nomenclature does not affect the pricing, features, or access previously enjoyed. It’s simply a rebranding to better align with our evolving service offerings.
Grandfathering clarity: Existing Individual tier members are ‘grandfathered’ into their current plans, meaning you will retain access to all the features and benefits you currently enjoy, even as new tiers are introduced. This grandfathering policy ensures that while new members may onboard under the new tier system, your membership experience remains unchanged.
So, the new tiered memberships will only affect new iFit user accounts. If you had an Individual account or Family account, back in March 2024, then you are OK. You are grandfathered in and will not see a change in your iFit access. For more info, see this article on the iFIT > BLOG: https://www.ifit.com/blog/membership-ifit-changes/
